The inaugural 2021 REX HILL Cabernet Sauvignon opens with a rich bouquet of vanilla, black currant, black tea leaves and potting soil supported by black and blue fruit and a hint of floral notes. The nose carries through to a palate that is soft-textured and juicy, defined by notes of violet, cassis, blackberry and tomato leaf, as well as warm spices like vanilla and cinnamon. The jammy fruit flavors are accented by a tart throughline of cool-climate acidity. Well-integrated tannins and impeccable balance make for a luxuriously long finish.
