A cornucopia of ripe red fruits greets the nose: raspberry, cherry, red plums. A hint of warm spice and pepper with an undertone of cedar quickly follow. On the palate, the tannins are polished and the wine is supple and friendly with a broad midpalate. Drink now through 2029.
Winemaker Notes
The 2022 REX HILL Chehalem Mountains Pinot Noir greets with warm spice and blue and black fruits. The aromas lead directly into a powerful first sip - black raspberry, fig compote, candied fruit, molasses, mushroom, pepper, and abundant floral notes of violet and rose. The tannins are well-integrated, creating a velvety texture that is balanced by lively acid. The wine finishes on a softer note that lingers pleasantly.
