About the Artwork:

Simon is taking measurements for the lab using a handheld meter. The barrels in the foreground contain fermenting sauvignon blanc, with some in oak barrels and some in steel. From this angle, the barrels are aligned with the stacks in the background, giving the image a strong sense of order and precision. I waited for Simon to get to the last barrel in the line so that he would be near one side of the frame, letting the pattern of the barrels form the main subject of the photograph.
