About the Artwork:
Barrels are stacked and left to age in a temperature-controlled environment. Different coopers make barrels with slightly differing dimensions, so there is some art involved in stacking them. It’s also important to stack them with a view to how they will be retrieved at a later date, otherwise that process will be long and complex as someone will need to locate the individually numbered barrels somewhere in the cellar.

Matt is driving this forklift, carefully lining up racks of barrels so that the stacks will be stable and easy to navigate. The background gives us the context of the environment in which he is working and the task he is involved in.
